Cloud services: infrastructure, migration and management

We design, set up and look after cloud infrastructure for your applications — from a first deployment or a move off an ageing server, to tidying up an environment that has grown hard to manage or expensive to run.

When cloud work is worth doing

  • Your application lives on one server with no failover or backups you trust
  • You’re planning to move to the cloud, or between providers
  • Infrastructure was set up by hand and can’t be recreated
  • Nobody is alerted when something goes down
  • Cloud costs have grown faster than usage
  • Access permissions have accumulated and nobody has reviewed them

What the work covers

Architecture and setup

Compute, databases, storage, networking and access designed around your application’s real load and budget.

Cloud migration

Planned moves from on-premise servers, shared hosting or another provider, with a rollback plan and minimal downtime.

Infrastructure as code

Environments defined in version-controlled code so they can be reviewed, recreated and changed safely.

Operations and cost

Monitoring, logging, alerting and backups, plus reviews that identify unused resources and oversized services.

How a cloud engagement runs

  1. 01

    Assess

We review your applications, current hosting, data, traffic and constraints.

  2. 02

    Plan

We propose an architecture or migration plan, with expected running costs and risks.

  3. 03

    Build and migrate

We set up the environment, move workloads in stages and verify each step.

  4. 04

    Operate and hand over

Monitoring and backups are in place, and your team gets documentation and access.

How we work on every project

What you receive

  • A documented cloud architecture
  • Infrastructure defined as code, in your repository
  • Monitoring, alerting and backup configuration
  • A cost and access summary with recommendations

What helps us start

  1. 1What you run today and where it is hosted
  2. 2Expected traffic, data volumes and growth
  3. 3Any preferred provider, budget, compliance or data-residency needs
  4. 4Access to existing accounts, once agreed

Questions about this service

All questions
Which cloud providers do you work with?

We work with the provider that suits your application, budget and team. If you already use one, we’ll usually build on what you have rather than move you.

Can you reduce our cloud bill?

We can review your usage and point out unused or oversized resources and cheaper configurations. The savings depend on your setup, so we’ll show findings before recommending changes.

Will there be downtime during a migration?

We plan migrations to keep downtime as short as possible and schedule any cut-over with you. The plan includes a way to roll back if something goes wrong.
