Mobile app development for iOS and Android

We design and build mobile apps for iOS and Android, together with the backend and APIs behind them, and take care of the release process so the app reaches the stores and keeps working after launch.

When a mobile app makes sense

  • Your users need features that work best on a phone — camera, location, notifications
  • Staff need a tool that works on the move, sometimes without a connection
  • You have a web application and want a mobile version for the same users
  • An existing app has poor reviews, crashes or no one maintaining it
  • You need to support both iOS and Android without doubling the work
  • You aren’t sure whether you need an app or a mobile-friendly website

What the work covers

Cross-platform apps

One codebase for iOS and Android where that suits the app — usually the most efficient route for business apps.

Native development

Platform-specific development when an app needs deep device integration or platform-specific behaviour.

Backends and APIs

The server side: accounts, data storage, APIs, notifications and integrations with your existing systems.

Release and maintenance

App store preparation and submission, version updates, and keeping the app compatible with new OS releases.

How a mobile project runs

  1. 01

    Define

We agree on users, core features, platforms and whether an app is the right answer at all.

  2. 02

    Design the flows

Key screens and journeys are mapped before development so you can review them early.

  3. 03

    Build and test

Development in increments, with test builds on real devices you can try as we go.

  4. 04

    Release

We prepare store listings and submissions, then hand over the release process.

How we work on every project

What you receive

  • iOS and/or Android app builds
  • Source code for the app and backend in your repositories
  • Store submission support under your developer accounts
  • Release notes and documentation for future updates

What helps us start

  1. 1Who the app is for and what it must do first
  2. 2Which platforms you need, and any devices to support
  3. 3Systems or APIs the app must connect to
  4. 4Your Apple and Google developer accounts, when it’s time to publish

Questions about this service

All questions
Cross-platform or native — which do we need?

For most business apps, cross-platform covers iOS and Android from one codebase. Native makes sense for heavy device integration or platform-specific features. We’ll recommend one based on your requirements.

Do you publish the app to the App Store and Google Play?

We prepare and submit builds under your own developer accounts, so you own the listing. Store approval is decided by Apple and Google, and we’ll help address any review feedback.

Can you take over an existing app?

Yes. We review the code, build setup and store accounts first, then fix stability issues before adding new features.
